Eunice Wangari Mwangi is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in research, policy development, and strategic planning within the financial sector. She is currently a Senior Research Officer in the Research, Strategy, and Planning Department at the SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) in Kenya. Eunice holds two MSc degrees in Applied Economics and Financial Economics and is a PhD candidate at Kenyatta University, focusing on the impact of government domestic borrowing and private investment on economic growth in Kenya.

Eunice is proficient in data analysis and digital tools such as SPSS, STATA, E-VIEWS, R, SAM, and KTMM, and has a proven track record in utilizing these skills to enhance financial inclusion and stability. Her research interests include fiscal policy, financial sector stability, and leveraging digital tools for economic insights. She is also passionate about mentoring and supporting vulnerable groups, particularly youth and women, and advancing financial literacy.

Eunice is the founder of ‘TUAMUE,’ a program supporting vulnerable groups in Nairobi’s Kangemi slum.

Eunice’s leadership extends beyond her professional role; she is the founder of “TUAMUE,” a program that mentors and supports vulnerable groups in Nairobi’s Kangemi slum. She has received several scholarships, including the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship and the Women Advancing Leadership Program by Women’s World Banking.
